I did not know much about what privilige meant before college
I remember attending a seminar about privilige and we were asked to discuss our privilige with our neighboors. My neighbor started. As he was talking about his experience of how racially privileged he is, I suffered to understand what he was exactly talking about! How come he viewed his white color as a privilige! The color of your skin is a phenomenon that we have no control over. How can it be a privilige. Well, if you live in the U.S., it is a privilige because it gives you some extra unwritten rights, it gives you a free pass for some of your behavior that would not be accepted if it was done by someone from another race. My neighbor was not satisfied with his privilige because he thought it was unfair.
Do not talk about your privilige, it makes you sink
